About

Founded by Brandon and Leslie Leath, lifelong Liberty Hill locals with roots here since 1980, Blackhorse represents both a legacy and a new beginning. What started as a Functional Fitness affiliate has evolved into something broader — a functional fitness community built for everyone.

Our philosophy is simple: fitness should enhance life, not complicate it. We combine the structure of proven training methodologies with the spirit of inclusivity and mental well-being. Whether you’re just starting out or years into your fitness journey, we believe everyone belongs in the stable.

At Blackhorse, you’ll find three daily programs — a Functional Fitness workout, a Hyrox-inspired conditioning session, and a Dumbbell Strength program — each coach-led from start to finish. From Olympic lifting and gymnastics to cardio endurance, strength training, and bodybuilding, every class is designed to challenge and support you at your level.

But what truly sets us apart is what happens beyond the workouts. Here, physical fitness and mental health move hand in hand. We know most people come through the doors for the workout — but they stay for the people. The conversations between sets, the shared struggle, the laughter — that’s where the beauty lies.

This isn’t just a gym. It’s a community. It’s a family. It’s a reminder that you have no obligation to be who you were yesterday.
Today is a new day. A new beginning.

Join the stable. We are Blackhorse — Born to Run Wild.

Mission

At Blackhorse, our mission is to build stronger humans — in body, mind, and spirit. We believe that true strength goes beyond the barbell; it’s found in connection, resilience, and growth. We train to live better, to think clearer, and to lift each other up — every single day.

Vision

As Liberty Hill grows, so does our vision. At Blackhorse, we see a community on the rise — full of opportunity, challenge, and change. Our vision is to build stronger humans — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally — to meet life head-on with grit, grace, and resilience.

We believe strength is the answer to a world that’s slowly retreating. Through fitness, connection, and shared struggle, we aim to forge people who don’t run from hard things — they face them. Our vision is to be a cornerstone for Liberty Hill’s growth: a place where people come to train their bodies, clear their minds, and prepare their hearts for whatever comes next.

We’re not just building athletes. We’re building stronger humans for a stronger community.
